The aim of this project is to develop technology and launch the production of innovative dental implants with enhanced osteoinductive properties. The essence of the project is to modify the implant surface to increase its bioactivity and biocompatibility. This modification will be primarily carried out through the plasma electrochemical oxidation (PEO) process, during which calcium and phosphorus compounds will be permanently incorporated into the implant surface. The implant surface will be characterized by appropriate microstructure and porosity, which will significantly facilitate the adhesion of bone-forming cells and accelerate osteointegration processes. Optionally, selected areas of the implant surface will be coated with hydroxyapatite using a laser deposition method. As part of the project, the pre-treatment conditions for the implants will be selected – laser deburring or electropolishing, laser texturing, and the PEO process parameters will be refined. For this purpose, an experimental station and a pilot line will be constructed to produce a demonstration batch of innovative dental implants. The dental implants will undergo rigorous evaluation in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 10993 standard, as well as a clinical literature review to obtain the appropriate certificate. After project completion, the implant production technology will be implemented at the Applicant's premises, and the innovative implants will be included in the sale.
